Orthodontic
Program
Vancouver Pediatric Dentistry has recently begun a unique Orthodontic Program for our patients. We are pleased to have Dr. Gabriella Aranda (the kids call her Dr. Gaby) as our orthodontist. The program is special in that it is for our patients only and because our patients must earn 20-30% of the cost of treatment in the following three ways:
• They must be good citizens. That means having good attendance at school, giving their best effort in the classroom, and earning the respect of their teachers and their peers.
• They must have good hygiene. This means not only good dental hygiene, but the avoidance of alcohol, tobacco and other abusive substances. Their school counselors will validate their progress in these two areas three times a year.
• Our orthodontic patients will commit to 40 hours of bona fide community service during the first 16 months of treatment. If our patients fulfill these commitments, they will earn a significant reduction in the cost of treatment.
Our goal is for our Orthodontic patients to have an “ownership position” in the cost of treatment and to learn about giving back to our community. Our practice is blessed with wonderful children and families. Our desire is to help our patients grow and mature as they take a step of responsibility towards their health care.
About Dr. Gaby
We are pleased to have Dr. Gabriella Aranda provide orthodontic care for our practice. She is known as Dr. Gaby to her patients and she is a delight! Dr. Gaby is a graduate of Oregon Health and Science University. She shares her time with us and with her practice in Gresham, Oregon. She and her husband, Marc, are the parents of three beautiful daughters.
Dr. Gaby is the perfect fit for our Orthodontic Program. She has been involved in medical mission programs in Oaxaco, Mexico and has a sincere interest in the community in which she lives and works. This is in harmony with the attitude of our practice and of what we ask of our orthodontic patients.
